Navigating gender stereotypes as educational leaders: An ecological approach

This paper employs the feminist educational leadership perspective to analyse ecological context and its influence on experiences of school head teachers within a patriarchal cultural setting. Methodology: forms part mixed methods study that included quantitative random survey during first research phase determine styles 350 secondary across nine districts in Punjab province Pakistan using Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire. is based second analyses empirical data from semi structured interviews purposive-stratified sample 14 teachers, selected among 264 respondents, comprising seven males females. Bronfenbrenner’s development theory employed as an analytical framework for thematic analysis. Findings: The reveals females must navigate gender stereotypes society where they have fight establish authority, encounter misogynistic attitudes, rely upon familial support begin their career, gain spiritual higher power, face work-family conflicts all while practicing with high motivation.
